Questions
Questions people ask
Why not just sell on a marketplace?
A marketplace brings buyers and takes a cut of every sale. Your own store has no per-sale commission, but you bring the customers. Plenty of businesses use both, and our guide on the choice has the numbers.
What does it cost to take card payments?
PayFast publishes 3.2% plus R2.00 per card payment and 2.0% for Instant EFT, excluding VAT. Ozow publishes 1.5% for pay by bank. A bank transfer with a reference costs nothing per sale but is slower for the customer.
Can the store handle delivery?
Yes. Citrus Aura delivers nationwide through Paxi, to a collection point or to the door, with the cost added at checkout and free delivery over a set order value.
